Primary School

Where learning comes alive

At NSM, we believe children learn best when they are active participants in their own learning journey. Knowledge is not merely taken from textbooks—it is constructed through experiences, exploration, questioning, and reflection. This belief shapes every learning experience in our primary classrooms.

Learning here is hands-on, meaningful, and designed to spark curiosity, helping children develop competencies that last far beyond the classroom.

How Learning Takes Shape

Curious minds. Confident learners. Creative thinkers.

In alignment with the CISCE (ICSE) curriculum, lessons and activities are thoughtfully planned around children’s natural interests and learning styles. Our approach draws upon four key areas of engagement:

  • Communication – expressing ideas, listening, and sharing viewpoints

  • Inquiry – asking questions, investigating, and discovering

  • Construction – creating, building, and applying concepts

  • Artistic Expression – using imagination through art, music, drama, and movement

This balanced approach allows children to learn deeply while enjoying the process.

Holistic Development

Growing the child as a whole

Our aim is to provide broad-based and holistic education, nurturing intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and ethical development. Every effort is made to recognise and nurture each child’s unique potential, ensuring learning is meaningful and long-lasting.

We continuously integrate modern educational practices and innovative methods to prepare learners for a rapidly changing, knowledge-driven world.

Co-Curricular Learning

Where talents bloom

Equal importance is given to co-curricular activities, as they play a vital role in shaping well-rounded individuals. Through these experiences, children learn to:

  • Appreciate the beauty of nature

  • Develop social and moral values

  • Build creativity and aesthetic awareness

These opportunities reinforce the school’s mission of nurturing sensitive, balanced, and responsible individuals.

Sports, Clubs & After-School Activities

Discovering strengths beyond academics

Physical development and personal interests are an integral part of the primary years at NSM. Children are encouraged to participate in special sports programmes, structured physical activities, and after-school engagements that promote fitness, discipline, and teamwork.

A variety of clubs and interest-based activities provide children opportunities to explore hobbies, develop new skills, and discover their passions in a supportive environment.

Exhibitions & Experiential Showcases

Learning on display

Exhibitions and project showcases form an important part of our learning culture. These platforms allow children to:

  • Apply classroom learning creatively

  • Express ideas with confidence

  • Collaborate with peers

  • Take pride in their work

Such experiences strengthen understanding and make learning truly memorable.

Leadership & Teamwork (Std. IV & V)

Learning to lead by learning to cooperate

In Standards IV and V, the Student Council introduces children to leadership and responsibility. Guided by the school’s ethos, leadership at NSM is rooted in teamwork.

Children learn that success is built together — that “we” matters more than “I.” Through cooperation, trust, and shared responsibility, students experience the true essence of team bonding and collective growth.

The Learning Journey Ahead

Preparing for tomorrow, today

At the end of Std. V, parents may choose to continue their child’s journey at JNS or opt for the Middle Years Programme at JNIS, ensuring continuity of quality education aligned with each learner’s strengths and aspirations.

Our Belief

At NSM Primary, every child is encouraged to explore, express, collaborate, and grow — developing skills, values, and attitudes that empower them to face the future with confidence.
